This function can be used to automatically send response messages. This can be useful, if you will not be able check you mailbox. You may use the auto-responder to leave vacation notices, notifications and technical messages for your clients.
Adding a new autoresponder
To add a new auto-responder, click the "New" icon and fill out the form.
- Name - enter a name and e-mail address that will be specified as a sender address in the auto-responder message, for example, [email protected] (test mailbox).
- Domain - from the drop-down menu select the e-mail domain for mail auto-responder.
- Action - the following are possible variants:
- Send to script - a message (text and headers) will be redirected to the script specified as stdin.
- Send message - auto-responder will automatically reply to any mail sent to a specified email address with a template reply.
- Script - path to script. Any message sent to the auto-responder e-mail address will be redirected to this script (stdin). You should specify the path regarding the user's home directory, otherwise it won't start.
- Subject- provide subject of a message to be automatically sent as a reply to any message received by auto responder e-mail address.
- Message body - enter text that will be sent to any message received by the auto-responder.
- File - if you want to attach the file to your auto-responder message, specify the path regarding your home directory.
